Walther KK Match

My wife calls this the Arnold Schwarzenegger gun, and one has to admit that it looks far more sinister than it actually is. That's a 20x scope, from the renowned shop of John Unertl. Single set trigger.
And you'll need Arnold's physique if you plan on hiking in the woods with this monster. Weighing in at a hefty 14 pounds, it's a real tank.
Accuracy? They don't get too much better than this. This particular rifle is at least 20 years old, and still reliably shoots .5 - .7" patterns at 50 yards on iron sights. I got this rifle through some judicious gun show horse trading. This was my intro to hyper accurate smallbore, and I've caught the target shooting bug as a result. Sorta like a golf swing, you just know the next one can be better.
In addition to the scope, this rifle came with a very fine set of Walther iron sights. Diopter sight in the back with a leaf bellows to adjust the incoming light. Since the acquisition of a 2" Unertl scope for my 52D, the iron sights have gone back on the Walther.
The Unertl scope is one of the legends in marksmanship. Adjustment is purely external, and very positive. They're rugged, and can get banged around without losing center. And Unertl, now back in business, will rebuild them at a very reasonable price. View through it is crystal clear, and as advertised, it stays on center once you have it set.
