Other .22's

BSA Mk II

This one belongs to a friend, but I can't resist tossing it in. It's a left hand BSA MkII. Had I shown the wisdom not to photo this rifle on a black background, you'd see the massive bull barrel. Note the difference in wood color - I'm in the process of refinishing this one, to get rid of a rather scruffy finish. Sand down, and recoat with linseed oil finish.

Built on a Martini action, with excellent Parker-Hale sights. The BSA Mk II is still used widely in competition, very much a viable hyper accurate .22 rifle.

Ruger Mk 2

In stainless, with bull barrel. I don't know if the bull barrel adds to the accuracy, but it does balance more nicely.

Uses the same rugged action of the Ruger 10/22. It's not indestructable, but you really have to work at it to damage that action.
